Tyler & Vanessa: Married!

There were so many moments that stood out to me during my time with Vanessa and Tyler. I loved being there as all the girls helped Vanessa get ready. I loved Tyler’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time. The beautiful, sunny ceremony and later on, the packed dance floor. But perhaps my favorite part was during our formal pictures. I was able to scout out a place called the Sweetheart Memorial near the Devens Common Center. This memorial was built in 1918 using stones from all over the US brought by wives and fiancées of soldiers who had to endure long periods of separation. It was a popular place for wedding pictures at the time. The hopeless romantic in me just loved being able to use this special location for Vanessa and Tyler. What an honor it was for me to photograph this wedding…I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these two!!

Mo & Kelsey: Engaged!

Kelsey and Mo…where do I begin? It’s really hard to find the appropriate words when you have known a bride as long as I have known Kelsey. She was still in High School during our first meeting when she came to visit her sister (and my good friend), Meghan at college. I will never forget how Kelsey lit up a room, made people laugh, and danced better than anyone else I had ever seen (which is all still true to this day!!). Fast forward a decade or so and Meghan started mentioning a new guy Kelsey had met. She told me how Mo was the nicest, not a mean bone in his body. As soon as I had the chance to meet Mo, I could see right away that all these things were true and then some. So you can imagine my happiness when Mo proposed to Kelsey this past spring! These two are simply meant to be. We had the best time catching up in the Seaport area on a recent (gorgeous!) summer night. The smiles were contagious from start to finish. I am counting down the days until next June down the Cape at Bourne Farm but until then, enjoy this little sneak peek from our time together!

Matt & Maria: Engaged!

Matt and Maria picked the most beautiful night for their Boston Shipyard engagement session. The bright sun was the perfect compliment to a pair such as these two, who are so bubbly and happy with each other. I had the best time exploring this area of the city which is home to Matt and Maria. We talked about their first date and their proposal, both which are basically the cutest stories ever because they come completely full circle. I cannot wait for September to be able to photograph Matt and Maria once again as they say “I do” during their casual and fun celebration in the Berkshires. It will be here before we know it!

Matt & Sarah: Married!

Sarah and Matt were married on a beautiful summer afternoon down the Cape. My favorite part of the day unfolded pretty early on, when I met Sarah and her girls at the Red Jacket Beach Resort. The anticipation of the moment ahead seemed to weigh on Sarah as her makeup and hair received the finishing touches. I promised her that as soon as she saw Matt, the nerves would melt away instantly. As she took her walk down the stairs to meet her groom, this was undoubtedly the case. Matt turned around to view Sarah, who looked absolutely gorgeous, and the result was the perfect mix of giddy excitement and pure joy. From this moment on, a sense of calm seemed to blanket the day. This, to me, is what real love looks like. To feel more calm, more happy, more yourself because you are with the one you are meant to be with. This fact was evident throughout the day…from the nautical ceremony overlooking the water at West Dennis Yacht Club to the amazing sunset as the celebration kicked into full gear. I am wishing Matt and Sarah a big, giant congratulations! May you always feel as the same sense of peace together as you begin married life. Cheers to you both!
