Family/Grandparent Session, Medfield MA!

This weekend was pretty much the best ever. We celebrated little Jack’s 2nd birthday (and my birthday) with lots of fun and frosting, trips to the park, balloons, and a hundred new trucks.

Along with our three day party, I also got the chance to hang out with some of my favorite people. Angie and Rich are another couple who I luckily inherited after meeting Rob. If there are two people on this planet who can make me laugh, it would be them. Rich always has some awesome story to tell and Angie always has a sarcastic side comment to go along with it. They welcomed their twin boys at the same time we welcomed Jack…and it has been a joy to go through the journey together. Whenever contemplating the latest and greatest 2-year old behavior-of-the-week (not eating dinner, biting, yelling..etc, etc) I think to myself “what would Angie do???” Not only because most of the time her answer makes perfect sense, but also because Rich and Angie’s boys are a reflection of awesome parenting. Raising twin boys can’t be easy..but based on how happy my friends Alex & Tyler are, Angie and Rich are doing an unbelievable job.

The best part about this session is that it was a gift to Angie’s parents, who live out of state. Angie’s Mom was born to be a grandmother. I was so honored to be able to capture a true lifestyle session that simply shows the love between grandparents, parents, and sons/grandsons:)

Family Christmas Card Session, Bridgewater MA!

Dear Baby K,

Someday, I’ll tell you all about the glory days. I’ll recount the endless adventures of your mom and me. Of a casual 22nd birthday/almost wedding in NYC, of beach chairs and cerveza, of the Shang and “LP’s.” I will try my best to tell you just how cool your Dad is, and how he has loved your mom since pretty much forever. I will tell you all about your parents wedding, how beautiful your mom looked, about being over-served at the rehearsal (naturally), and about a certain “surfboard” entrance. I will tell you about the day we learned you were on the way. How happy your mom and dad were when they told the “aunties” you were a girl, and all about the winter night when you finally arrived. Someday, you will understand just how loving, loyal, and fun your parents really are.

Someday…I will tell you this and more. But for now, I will simply enjoy watching you grow:) Here is the happy little girl of Jenn and Mike, all decked out for her Christmas card, with not one but two fabulous outfits…

Family Session, Publick House Sturbridge MA!

Happy. That is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about my next family. Each moment of our almost two hour shoot seemed easy breezy. Little Miss L was happy running around, playing hide and seek, and discovering plants and other cool toddler treasures. My man J is hands down the calmest and most content baby out there (once snacks came into the picture, of course!!) Parents John and Kathryn make it look like a walk in the park. We set out to take some posed “Christmas card” shots, and then made our way into a beautiful meadow around sunset. During these last moments, I told everyone to simply be the way they always are. The result are images that show how much this family loves being together.

Major overshare here, but I can’t help it!!

Little Miss C!! Arnold Arboretum Family Session

When I met Rob years ago, it was obviously a win-win. What I didn’t expect was that meeting him meant gaining a whole new group of girlfriends…and that’s exactly what happened! The very first time Rob introduced me to his big BC group (at softball, of course), Katie and Jesse were both there. After chatting with Katie for a few minutes, we realized that our families have cottages less than half a mile away from each other on the South Shore. Fast forward a bunch of years, and we are lucky to be raising little ones together (which means our beach babies get to play together in the sand during the summer!!). I met up with Katie, Jesse, and their sweet girl a few weeks back in the Arboretum. Little Miss C is so lucky to have such loving and devoted parents.

One look and you can just tell they get a huge a kick out of her. With that smile, her cute cheeks, and awesome curls…who wouldn’t?!
