Styled Wedding Shoot!

2014 is going to be the best year yet. I’m starting to add weddings to my portfolio, and feel incredibly lucky to document each and every special moment. Wedding season is still months away, so I thought…why not put together a styled wedding shoot in the meantime?! It just so happens that I have some very talented friends who were graciously willing to help me pull a vision together. Our idea started with an amazing old barn (think exposed beams, big ceilings, old doors as shelves) and quickly developed into all things fun, color, and gold glitter. My friend Meghan provided her amazing jewelry. Lori (the face behind my logo) created the invitations, menus, and table numbers. Sarah DaRosa made our beautiful model Kelsey even more glam than she already is. Add a cake from Tara Leigh Cakes and we were good to go.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel about these images. The artists that I mentioned above are all local, talented individuals who are looking to make moves in the wedding world. So much of this shoot was DIY (my house is still covered in glitter) which makes it even more noteworthy. Be sure to check out all the links, they are definitely worth every second of your time!

Family Session, Bolton MA!!

I was beyond excited when Dan and Erin contacted me to take pictures of sweet baby E and 3 year-old big brother J. If I had to pick one thing to say about these two it’s that they completely enjoy parenthood. We instantly connected when talking baby boys…eating, sleeping, what truck is hot right now (fire trucks for J), sleep schedules, baby proofing, and more. Being able to witness an afternoon with their little family made me want to go home and hang out with mine…they simply love being together. The images from our session speak to this fact. No props or poses. Just Mom, Dad, and brothers, hanging out on the steps, having the best time (pretending the steps are a firehouse, naturally!).

Loving the first few of J and E snuggling up:)

Erin & Brendan, Quincy Engagement!

I am kind of in love with this engagement session, for multiple reasons. Erin and Brendan will be tying the knot later on this year, a few days after Christmas to be exact. So, it was fitting that their recent engagement shoot turned into a winter wonderland (baseball-sized snowflakes and all!!). These two were willing to brave the cold, which resulted in some very dreamy, very romantic pictures in the snow. I also love that Erin and Brendan wanted to pay homage to the place where they met, while on a swim team together in Quincy. The Thomas Crane Library served as a great backdrop, and it’s right around the corner from the YMCA where it all started. Based on our few hours together, I can tell that Erin and Brendan’s wedding will be lots of fun, lots of meaningful little moments, and without a doubt..lots of love.

15 Days New: Boston, MA Newborn Session!

The best pictures are the ones that tell a story. When the viewer can take one look and be in the moment…experiencing what the subject feels, hopes, wishes. The following images from a recent newborn shoot tell a story and it’s one of love and pride. Of first time parenthood, so awesomely overwhelming in every sense of the word. This is the story of beautiful baby J and the loving parents who welcomed him home in late December. It’s almost impossible not to smile when you see his sweet little newborn face!
