Greg & Cassie: Engaged!

In the weeks leading up to my next engagement session, I had started to put words together in my head to describe Cassie and Greg. Cassie and I have known each other since High School…since the days when she moved and we became friends right away due to her bubbly personality and a shared sense of humor. I imagined writing a whole post about how much fun we had together back then and how we recently reconnected during a Christmas party. The words were all set to go. And then the night actually came for our engagement shoot. For the first time during a session, I got goosebumps…in 85 degree heat. I pulled Cassie aside to casually mention how awesome Greg is. How he just wants to be near her. How during our first set of pictures there was no need for me to give direction-it is simply second nature for him to be loving towards her. Cassie instantly responded by telling me how lucky she is, and how Greg treats her this way every day. These two truly deserve each other and would walk down the aisle tomorrow if given the chance. I already knew that being with Cassie on her December wedding day would be an honor for me, but now it means so much more after having the experience of hanging out with Greg.

Ok, on to the pictures! Cassie literally smiled the ENTIRE time because Greg made her laugh so much. Love these two:)

Stephen & Julie: Engaged!

I am so thankful to have had the experience of meeting Stephen and Julie. These two are one of those rare couples who, for lack of a better word, are just “right”. They are so effortlessly comfortable and easy together….eyes light up when they are looking at each other and smiles are never too far away. We met up in the Seaport area to get some pictures of fan pier, the harbor, and a few more places in between. We chatted about how they met and all about the fun plans for their August 2015 wedding. Julie just so happens to be the fabulous face behind the stylish one, so naturally her dress was to die for (Stephen-you looked pretty amazing too!!!).

Can’t wait for next summer, to continue sharing this love story as it unfolds!

Steve & Meaghan: Married!

Steve and Meaghan’s June wedding day was special for all the obvious reasons. However, this particular summer Saturday also marked a culmination of a different sort. Up until the point of “I do” Meaghan and Steve had been living hours (and timezones!) apart…seeing each other whenever possible. During the times when Meaghan was missing her fiancé more than usual, she would run past the Squantum Yacht Club. Doing so would remind her that the time would come when she and Steve would marry and be together under the same roof everyday. Well that day finally arrived with blue skies and sun! I started the day with Meaghan and her bridesmaids. After a beautiful (and quick!) ceremony in downtown Quincy, it was off to Wollaston beach for some portraits and, of course, to party. The day capped off with a gorgeous sunset which was the perfect end to an amazing celebration. Meaghan and Steve-your love story is truly unique and I’m honored to share each moment!

Steve was so cute up at the altar waiting for his bride…a little nervous, a little teary, and so very happy!
Congrats you guys, can’t wait to show you the rest!!

Tim & Rachel: Married!!

At the end of May, I had the pleasure of second shooting for the fabulous Stephanie of Stephanie Rita Photography. I was told beforehand that the couple, Tim and Rachel, were the sweetest most awesome bride and groom around…and they certainly didn’t disappoint!! Every detail of the day was full of love, meaning, and unique little details. For starters…Rachel wore a wedding dress and veil that was previously worn by her mother and before that, her aunt and grandmother. Centerpieces were created using wood boxes handmade by Tim’s father. Speeches included descriptions of Tim and Rachel’s commitment to each other, to family, and to helping others. Needless to say, I was so impressed and left feeling inspired in a multitude of ways.

I started out with the groomsmen, walking to meet up with the rest of the bridal party for formals in the back bay. Next came a beautiful ceremony at Saint Cecilia’s, and then on to Elm Bank for cocktail hour, lots of details, and a party that got everyone on the dance floor (young and old!). What a way to kick off my very first wedding season!!

While Stephanie was getting ready to capture the procession, I hung back with Rachel to capture the moments before I do!Details, details! The DJ did a fantastic job of getting everyone pumped up for Rachel and Tim’s big entrance!
Congrats Tim and Rachel, and thanks Stephanie for letting me take part in this amazing day!
