I have been looking forward to Ken & Kassy’s wedding for more than a year. What is better than a winter wedding at Zorvino Vineyard surrounded by wood beams, a roaring fire, and twinkly lights? Add a little family of three, pledging their love for a lifetime and it’s a celebration for the books. The first look among the winter branches of the vineyard are some of my favorites…they were able to shake off the cold for some very romantic pictures with the faintest hint of snow. The look of pride and happiness on Ken’s face reflects just how these two feel about each other. The emotion from family and friends proves the same sentiment (if you look closely, you just might see a tiny tear during Kassy’s dance with her Dad). Special thanks to the talented Nadya for second shooting with me. Kassy and Ken, I wish you nothing but happiness as you start your next chapter together!

Brendan and Erin’s wedding was a celebration that ended my 2014 season on the highest note possible. What struck me most about their day was just how happy everyone was. Not just the bride and groom (who were both so calm and smiling all day long), but the family and friends who surrounded them as they became husband and wife. Readings were so eloquently spoken by siblings, a hand-fasting ceremony saw good friends “tie the knot” in a nod to the couples Irish heritage, and speeches were some of the funniest I’ve heard in a long time (and ended with Erin and Brendan gaining a pet fish). The Hawthorne Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for this winter wedding, and I was lucky to have Joline second shooting with me for most of the day. Congratulations, Brendan and Erin and thank you a hundred times over for choosing me.

In all the craziness of my December wedding season, I neglected to blog all the amazing families who I have been lucky enough to capture over the past few months. Now that Christmas cards have safely been delivered, it’s the perfect time to share a little medley of my favorite faces…old friends and new!

Mike and Barbara represent so much of what I love about a soon-to-be married couple. There is a certain ease about these two, like they have been together for a lifetime already. They make each other laugh (and can they laugh…like real honest to goodness belly laughs!!) and are on the same page when it comes to their future. We met up on a gorgeous Sunday at Aquataine in the South End. This location has special meaning, as it was the spot where they first laid eyes on each other a few years back. After a quick outfit change, we ended our night strolling along the neighborhood they so lovingly call home, looking for beautiful light and meaningful landmarks (and being photo-bombed by a Christmas tree or two). I can’t wait for March, to capture their fancy Cohasset celebration at the Red Lion Inn!
