Tim & Aimee: Married!

Sometimes, all the elements come together and magic happens. This is exactly how I feel about my time capturing Tim and Aimee. Yes the bride and groom are beautiful on the outside. Warm, humble, kind, and funny on the inside. Madly in love. Yes, the details were unique and the flowers simply outstanding. Think all things maritime mixed with the most vibrant blooms in shades of pink and red. Yes, the friends and family that surrounded Aimee and Tim were all there with open hearts to celebrate the years that finally led to this amazing moment. Yes, the toasts were equal parts funny (Tim’s brother in law coming prepared with slides of pictures to highlight Tim’s life) and tender (Aimee’s siblings all took a turn to explain the sister who means so much to so many people). Yes to all of these aspects and so many more. Aimee and Tim…you are one of the most genuine couples I have had the pleasure to know and the magic I felt on your day in Newburyport will not soon be forgotten. I wish you all the best and hope you enjoy this sneak peek (with lots of black and white just for you, Aimee!!).

Chris & Mimi: Married!

There is just something extra special about an intimate wedding. For Mimi and Chris, their wedding was case and point. These two chose to marry in the center of a place that means the most…their very own hometown. Mimi and Chris were literally surrounded by love as they said heartfelt vows under a gazebo. Friends, family, their sweet baby boy, and pets (of course!) joyfully looked on. A celebration followed right across the street, which allowed for a quick motorcycle ride for the bride and groom! Mimi and Chris-what a privilege it was to capture each moment. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming (and my kids say thank you for the cupcakes!!). Congratulations!!

TC & Kate: Engaged!

You might remember Kate and TC from the Island Creek Oyster editorial session I photographed in the spring. At that point in time, these two were simply being good sports by agreeing to model as an engaged couple for the afternoon. Little did Kate know that the real deal was right around the corner!! Weeks later, as Kate and TC biked along the Esplanade, TC got down on one knee and proposed along the banks of the Charles. I was beyond flattered when Kate contacted me to take some official engagement pictures. Their session was so much fun..beautiful light and a beautiful couple inside and out. Kate and TC-I wish you all the best as you plan for your wedding. My hope is that these images continue to bring you back to the magical moment when it all began!!

Matt & Melissa: Married!

Growing up in a big family, I had a whole bunch of Uncles who seemed to get married one after another. I was always invited, and even got to be a flower girl on one occasion or another. My recollection of weddings back in the day is somewhat different than now. What I loved the most about witnessing Matt and Melissa’s wedding day was the nod to tradition that I hold so dear. The night before, a rehearsal dinner took place at the home of the bride and groom. Melissa and Matt both also got ready at home (Melissa at the house where she grew up) surrounded by friends and family. The girls did their own makeup and all helped one another in the process. After a beautiful mass, Melissa and Matt welcomed their guests in a receiving line. We headed next to the JFK library for formals and then on to the Milton Hoosic Club where the party was already in full swing. I adored watching the love in the first dance, toasts, and parent’s dances. Congratulations Matt and Melissa…thinking back on your day will always fill me with an old-school feeling of joy. Special thank you to Danielle for being my amazing second photographer!
