Over the summer, I had the pleasure of second shooting with the extremely talented Lauren Methia. We started out capturing both the bride and groom getting ready at the Hyatt Harborside (with an amazing view of the city!) and then moved on to Boston College for the ceremony and formal portraits. Terence and Alyssa were  as bright and beautiful as their sunny August wedding day.  Here are just a few highlights from this very classic, very romantic celebration.

Rob and Michele are not your average couple. They are warm and welcoming, fun to be around, beautiful from the inside out. So, it makes perfect sense that their wedding day was not the average wedding day. A cocktail hour with the closest of friends and family kicked the night off. Once each guest found their respective table, the ceremony began with Michele and Rob front and center. A really romantic first dance to a certain Bee Gee’s cover, FaceTime with those who couldn’t make it, and some really cute little faces filled in the gaps to make it the perfect celebration. Rob and Michele…I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. There are so many pictures to show…until then, enjoy your sneak peek!

I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful fitting party for a certain Brideside bride and her bridesmaids. The talented team behind the Darling Creative Company designed and styled the party, and the result was a fresh, fun, beautiful event for the entire bridal party. Posh and Prep provided the amazing calligraphy on the invitations and birch slabs.Sweet Annie Floral created the most beautiful hair pieces and arrangements. The delicious Moochies Macarons and Union Square Donuts kept everyone fed. There was so much talent in one room and to watch everyone work was beyond inspiring!

When the party was over, Darling Creative created awesome sugar scrub favors for each bridesmaid to take home! I might have left with one myself:)

I love second shooting and have been doing quite a bit over the past months. There is a chance to learn, to be creative, and to get shots that might not ordinarily happen as the primary shooter. Way back in August, I had the pleasure of joining the very talented Kristin of Kristin Jordan Photography for the Chatham Bars Inn wedding of Trevor and Michelle. From the start of my day capturing the guys getting ready, to cocktail hour, and up until the very romantic first dance, the whole experience was so beautiful and heartfelt. Trevor’s reaction to his bride walking up the aisle just might be my favorite part..he was literally overcome with emotion. Not surprising since Michelle was stunning from head to toe.
