What do I even say about this next wedding? There are so many reasons why Kelly and Ronnie are special, both to me and to the friends and family who surrounded them on their perfect Vermont day. I have known Kelly since my sister introduced me to her bubbly, happy, beautiful college friend. Fast forward about a dozen years later, and Kelly is still the same as the day I met her..with one exception. Ronnie has made Kelly even happier than before, and these two have truly built a life around each other. They chose the Sugarbush Resort as the spot for their celebration, and I can honestly say the whole weekend was flawless. Not a cloud in the sky, perfectly orchestrated details, and so many smiles on the faces of each guest. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Kelly and Ronnie, and feel proud to be able to show the start of their married life together. To Kelly and Ronnie…cheers for every happiness this life has to offer!!

Erica and Shawn’s wedding day was just so much fun to photograph. In the morning, Shawn called to inform me that their plans for an outdoor ceremony were changing due to the rainy forecast. However, he quickly added “nothing is going to stop this day from being great!”. And great it was. Both the bride and groom were in the best spirits throughout, happily transitioning from getting ready to the ceremony. I think that sometimes the universe shines for certain people…and as soon as the tented cocktail hour (and outdoor formal pictures!) were under way, the sun surprised us by peeking through the clouds until sunset. Erica and Shawn have a love that is undeniable, and their wedding day was a testament to the life they have built with one another. Wishing these two all the best as they begin the next phase as Mr. and Mrs.!!

There were several times during the course of Cate & Brent’s wedding day where I literally had goosebumps. The first occurred when Cate stepped into her gown and transformed into the most breathtaking bride in front of her best friends and family. This was quickly followed by the first look, where Brent and Cate read hand-written letters aloud to each other. The emotion was so genuine, with lots of tears and laughter. Each aspect of this June day in Hyannis was so unique, so personal, and so well thought out. Cate and Brent are simply meant to be together and when this happens, goosebumps are the result. Now on to the pictures (warning: major overshare ahead!)…I was lucky to be able to photograph the rehearsal dinner the night before, which was lovely as well.

Congratulations Brent & Cate!! Wishing you a lifetime of love!

On my drive home from photographing Francis and Brittany’s wedding day, I had a moment to reflect on the events of this overwhelmingly heartfelt celebration. The thought that seemed to stick in my mind was that I actually learned something about what marriage truly means. Patience, hard work, positivity, devotion. Not only do Brittany and Francis embody each of these ideals, but their parents do as well. Brittany’s being married for over thirty years and Francis’ fifty-one. I was surrounded by a family who honors marriage and the experience was inspiring. Mix this together with beautiful details (Brittany’s dress…stunning!), toasts that made me laugh outloud, a band that brought down the house, and this day was one for the books. There is no doubt in my mind that these two will be celebrating anniversaries for years to come, and I am thrilled to share a small piece of their story. Brittany and Francis…congratulations!!
