L&J: Park!

This summer, of course, was pretty much hotter than I ever remember summer being. This is true Murphy’s Law in the Hammond household. Luke was born at 9am on the Sunday of Blizzard Nemo (25 inches of snow, city of Boston shut down). The cold lasted long enough for stir-craziness to set in and we couldn’t WAIT for summer. So along comes June and where did we end up spending the majority of our time? Inside clinging to the AC because it was just too hot.

At least we had the park to ourselves at 8:30 when it’s still shady enough to be out and about! (Try not to judge Jack for eating pretzel goldfish…in the morning.. with extremely dirty park-hands…off of a bench for that matter. Yikes, I guess things have changed now that there are two in the picture!)

sara & nick: deer island engagement!

I had the opportunity to shoot Sara and Nick at the beginning of the summer, almost a year to the day before their June 2014 wedding. Sara’s family has always spent time at the beach in Winthrop, so the location was a no-brainer. Deer Island is a place I have never been to in all my years in Mass, and I couldn’t believe what an amazing backdrop it provided for pictures…treatment plant and all!!! I love when real feeling comes through in images, and as you can see, Sara and Nick kinda like each other:)

hi there!

This is my first of many blog posts to showcase what I’ve been up to lately (besides having and raising baby boys!!) Over the past months, I’ve had a blast shooting lifestyle sessions that feature families, babies, and bumps. What an honor and a privilege it has been to document couples and families on the verge of a new chapter or to simply capture a moment in time.

This venture has been a work in progress. As a result, I plan to highlight some of my favorite recent work. Oh, and my boys make an appearance too (they are harassed by my camera on a daily basis and make for the best models out there!)

As always, I am currently booking lifestyle sessions and would love to hear from you!

Enjoy:)
