Benson Park Fall Family Session!

It’s been a while since I have blogged a family session. But this particular one is very special. Brienne and Chris have been with me since the beginning, when they took a leap of faith and hired me as their wedding photographer. They were so much fun to work with as we explored Wells Maine for their engagement session. Next came their wedding day, which was a heartfelt celebration full of happiness. I was thrilled to hear from Brienne when little Miss C came into the world exactly one year ago. There is just something so amazing about seeing a couple become parents…especially when that couple is Brienne and Chris. These two are doing a fabulous job already. We had the opportunity to meet up right before the first birthday of their sweet little girl. Miss C is so happy, so curious, and just a joy to be around. I am honored to watch this family grow, and can’t wait to see what the future has in store!

Paul & Tracy: Married!

Tracy and Paul’s wedding day was like food for my photographer soul. As cheesy as this may sound, it is so true for a multitude of reasons. Tracy and Paul have a sort of effortless relationship where you wonder if there was ever a time when they weren’t together. Both are cool-quiet, heartfelt and genuine people who appreciate the company of friends and family. They are not afraid to be themselves, which is a trait that I truly admire. It is this quality that shone through the most on their fall wedding day at the Lyman Estate. Instead of worrying about the rain, Tracy and Paul moved forward with an outdoor ceremony between the “two trees.” A super romantic al-fresco dinner followed, surrounded by the beautiful grounds of the estate and a bunch of soft twinkling lights. These two never compromised on their vision, and the result was simply breathtaking. I wish Tracy and Paul a life where they remain exactly as they are now…head over heels in love, like they are the only two people in the room.

Terry & Casey: Married!

Casey and Terry’s wedding day was a visual masterpiece. From the start of the day at Good Harbor Beach where the sun was out in all its glory, to my drive along the eastern point of Gloucester, and finally pulling up to the most beautiful private estate overlooking the rocky shores of the Atlantic Coast. When I met Casey and Terry about a year ago, I knew their plans were anything but ordinary. However, the truly special nature of this wedding day is something that you have to see to believe. There were so many personal elements that stood out. A custom dress for dog Blue, centerpieces that were hand-made by Terry using wood chopped down during a Stowe vacation, a surprise acoustic performance, and finally a sparkler exit that lit the dark. The weather also seemed to put on a show. As the ceremony began, a dense fog rolled in. The result was a romantic mist that simply highlighted the nature of the day. Perhaps the most noticeable element was the love between Casey and Terry. These two are giddy when they are together and I have no doubt that this is the first of many happy moments to come. Congratulations Casey and Terry and enjoy your sneak peek!
